Privacy Policy

In short: a parent creates the account; children never need to give personal details. We have no ads and no tracking, and we never sell data.
What we collect
- Parent account: if you sign up, your email address (and your name if you sign in with Google or Apple). Sign-in is provided by Clerk, Inc., which stores this on our behalf.
- Children's profiles: the first name or nickname, age and avatar you choose for each child, and their progress (which stories and exercises were completed and the stars earned). This is stored in your browser, and, if you are signed in, in your account so it is available on your other devices.
- Writing answers typed in the writing exercises are saved only in your browser on that device.
What stays on your device
- Voice recordings made in the Speaking module stay in the browser for that session and are never uploaded by us.
- Story recordings a parent adds in the audio settings are stored only in that browser.
- Speech recognition and read-aloud use the speech features built into your browser or device (for example Apple or Google). Those companies may process the audio under their own privacy policies; you can use the app without them.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no analytics trackers, no selling or sharing of personal data.
- We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Accounts are for parents and guardians.
Your choices
- You can use the free items without an account.
- You can delete a child's profile in the app (✏️ on the child's card), and delete your whole account from the account menu, or by contacting us. Deleting the account removes the synced profiles and progress.
